Winnebago Years are Confusing

Identifying the generation of your Revel is NOT as simple as checking the model year of your van.

Mercedes manufactures the Sprinter van chassis, which includes the exterior, engine and mechanical components related to driving the van. Then, Winnebago uses this shell to build the Revel. The Revel is everything related to your house and living systems.

Both the Sprinter chassis and the Revel have years, which aren't necessarily the same year. It's confusing! So, to avoid confusion when working with upfitters or asking for help, you should only refer to your van by its chassis year (determined by your VIN number) and Revel generation (determined by your control panel).
