Follow this guide to relocate components under the passenger seat in 2025 Revels to make room for the Beatbox Blackbird stereo.
Before disassembling the van, make sure the Ecoflow DC-DC converter functions by looking for ~1kw charge at low idle. If you do NOT see 1kw charge or know how to check the DC-DC converter function, do not proceed further!!
- Once you have the driver/passenger seats out as well as floor covers, you will see what is pictured below with the items marked to be relocated. Winnebago installed a fuse and contactor that are wired to the chassis battery and connect the chassis battery to the DC-DC charger in the Ecoflow system when the engine is running.
- Remove all Winnebago installed items from the passenger seat base.
- The wire going from the chassis battery to the Winnebago fuse holder can be eliminated entirely.
- The wire coming through the floor of the passenger seat base must be relocated to the driver’s seat base by pulling it across the black wire tray.
- Secure this wire to the floor towards the rear of the passenger seat base with adhesive zip tie mounts so it does not interfere with the subwoofer.
- The small white/yellow wires will also go to the driver’s seat base to be reconnected to the contactor
- Use the power distribution expansion kit from RoamRig to add more fused positions to the Mercedes power distribution under the driver’s seat. The fuse included from RoamRig is for the Beatbox. You can add another 100A fuse to be used for the Ecoflow DC-DC converter.
- Mount Winnebago contactor/solenoid to the back wall of the driver’s seat base. Reconnect yellow/white wires to it. Connect a large gauge wire from the passenger seat base back to it. Connect a short jumper between the new fuse and the other side of the contactor to supply power to the contactor.
- After installing the Beatbox, make sure that the Subwoofer does not contact the wires under the passenger seat base, and ensure that the Ecoflow DC-DC converter still functions.
